The DC logo over the years has used some for of circle. The was in which they have used the circle to enhance or strengthen their logo is quite interesting to me. In the beginning it almost appears like a postage stamp and through the years it seem sto develop into something that could be easily printed and encouraged the use of colour on the covers of their comics (which must have been an exciting prospect back in the day?) and then the classic black and white colours were utilised possibly to stand out and be bold on the covers that were now becoming more intricate
...and these days with the use of embossing on their more contemporary covers the blue and logo would look quite interesting especially with the use of the star reflecting the character of captian america and the american patriotism that is their culture....and the fact they deal with fantastical worlds and characters astar must have seemed quite an obvious next step to (as well as their past use of "the line of super stars")

The "citycar club" logo really seems a place to go for the younger generation looking for an easy location to loo up cars on the internet! The bright pink and the use of an "ideas" bubble would really connect with people looking for something simple and well structered. to me its a great logo because it looks fresh and new and clean. to me this means the site/company and the most likely the layout of the page (once you go and look up the company online) will look almost as appealing as the logo...and thus it would be a great place to look up vehivles on the net...and to me that prospect is exciting..
i like the use of the circle...it seems to keep the logo together...but may face some issues once it is reduced. The use of colour catches your eye and the use of contrasting black and white too.

The Nissan logo has dealt with the constraints of the circular shape by building a bar across and almost stamping the company name in a contasting dark colour. The circle with the bar across it almost seems to symbolise getting from "a to b". The use of the bar is very nice and simple and that will appeal to people... simplicity rules....
