How do i feel about these logos?
WONKA: This logo feels positive and reminds me of the character from "Willy Wonka" - and thus it makes me believe the logo is a lot more "cooler" due to the connection of the company that produces candy with the character created by Rhoal Dahl. The hat also makes the logo seem more appealing and fun (bringing a part of the character closer to the company....)
FOX: The logo for "Fox" makes me think of a large corporation/company that was created at the turn of the century due to the lights (reminds me of batman actually) and seems larger than life/ a cut above the rest.
How does the symbol affect the way i feel about the company?
WONKA: The hat is a big deal, along with the chosen font and colour! It is all about the purple font and the hat that really bring to life the identity of this company. So looking at the hat in particular - Willy Wonka wears a top hat - it may not be purple (which is kind of interesting!) But it must be his purple suit that makes the connection?
FOX: The logo makes the company seem prestigious, powerful and in control of bringing the cinema/the theatre to you, even a large and entertaining show filled with light - guaranteed to impress!
How is the logo attractive (aesthetically=shape and feel of logo)?
WONKA: To be honest i really love the slanting of the logo - and how it is asymmetrical! It has great use of negative space and contrast in shades! The curve in the font is subtle and effective with the idea of "fun" emphasised by the use of the top hat!
FOX: In terms of this logo the golden glow and nice gradients of darkness towards light, the spot lights and the soft clouds amongst the stars is really gorgeous! And the use of 3d lettering and the dimensions of the environment (in contrast to the wonka logo which is 2d) it really stands out - especially for its time (being the early 20th century)
Can you separate how you feel about the logo from the supposed attractiveness of these logos?
I do like these logos - but I must say i do not feel biased - I am not OBSESSED with Fox films and i am not a uge fan of candy these days...BUT...
WONKA: This logo could do with a revamp (it may have been done since this version was made...as the website is rather funky looking here - but if it seemed more curved and curly to go along wit the more recent film...

FOX: In terms of this logo - i believe it is important for FOX to keep the same image - as they are all about foundations and i believe it is important to keep the image they have - in terms of their history!
